i lifted this button from erica, as i'm not that savvy with the photoshop skills. she just happened to hit the nail on the head with a simple alteration.

Yes! I'm so with you guys on this one. It's like, ok where's the summer stuff. Granted, in the summer most companys turn their AC to the meatlocker setting (my company included) and I tend to freeze my fingers off. I shaking in my seat as we speak, but I just can't see the wrist warmers right now. Outside of the socks, it's one big....Hunh? I guess they are secretly telling people to get their tooshes in gear and get a head start on the fall projects.

I don't know, but I'm disappointed.

I like a few of the things (including the legwarmers for fall.. sue me.. lol) from the new Knitty but most of us in blog-land are wondering WHY they put out something with hats, gloves, and legwarmers when we're not leaving our air conditioned homes for fear of melting. My only idea is that little items= not so much hot wool in your lap?

Glad to see it wasn't just me!

I am also disappointed - however, it is a free mag, so at least we didn't lose anything over it! The one thing I do like? Those legwarmers! except in December - not July!

Ooooh! You are brutal!

I gave up on caring about knitty a while back. I usually only look at their stuff when a blogger links to something that she's working on. Otherwise I don't feel too moved by it.

I never read their articles, though, even though I always think "One day when I have the time I'll do it."

I've read that they are doing away with the "themed" issues. I think the issue would be better received in the winter. Most people expect summery patterns and they didn't have many in the spring/summer issue.

Now see ... I'm okay with it, as this issue gives me plenty of thinkgs to start knitting for holiday gifts.

It definitely gave me ideas for the holidays though. Another thought as to why, would be that smaller projects like that are good for beach/pool knitting.

All I can say is, WHAT THE F**** EVER, Knitty! There is not a damn thing in there I will feel like knitting unless I take summer vacation in Greenland. Well, maybe I should think about that...
