shoot me

this is my pitty party ... as i'm having problems with flow. i have not finished my trekking sock (mate). i am still on the foot. of course, i could sit down and finish said trekking sock, but there are so many distractions ....

... such as, this sock that totally did not work out! i'm not even going to talk about the pattern. the yarn is allll good! but the pattern ....

and this ... i don't know if this is going to work or not. this is the beginning of a sleeve for flicca. i never really got gauge ... yet i am still knitting ....

Also, my sock is pending for many distraction. I want to knit a short sleeve vest. And I like the colour of the sock.

Aw shucks, please dish on re:the sock pattern... Which? From whence? Also, followed the link for flicca, and the pic is very nice and Rowan, but what the heck does it actually look like? (On someone not lounging around and looking picturesque, y'know...)

I love the colors in your trekking sock, can you tell me the name of the color/yarn.
Can't wait to see you finish it, your almost there and you will feel better once they are done!
Those green yarns are beautiful....
they would be distracting me :)

katie, the sock at the top is trekking 107.
devil kitty, the mystery blue sock is the snowflake pattern from magknits (an online knitting magazine).
and the sweater ... looks like an a-line oversized bed jacket :) with ribs. wide ribs at the bottom that taper towards the top.
it snowed! we have slush and ice!!! yippy!!!

Who needs gauge when you have ribbing? With that oversized knit, I don't think it makes as much of a difference as I could...althought I might be eating my words later...

that blue yarn is so pretty! rip that thing out and make something FABULOUS with it instead of those pesky snowflake socks! sorry your knitting groove is all off--i say more wine, and it will get all better.

I think this is just the time of year for distractions, so many patterns, so few hands to knit them, so many amazing yarns to work with!
