some finished, some not ...

i finished this square of noro kureyon 95 the other day and quickly cast on for another square.

i don't know which color this one is because its label is missing. but, i do have six squares finished now.

for the unfinished, i seem to be having trouble on the toes lately. i could have something to do with talking, drinking wine, knitting black lace, or just the knitting gods are against me.

have no fear! there's always more yarn !

this is for the mindless ... (trekking 109)

hey zarah!

i can get those nifty borders because my computer is a technological dinosaur! i have a gateway computer, from 2000 (?) which came with windows ME. the computer came with discs from microsoft ... and the program with my fun photo stuff is called "microsoft, picture it, publish it!"

i'm not sure what they sell now, or how they might bundle their products. i've played some with photoshop before, but it's a bit advanced for my tastes and needs.

there are some fun borders on flickr toys, and perhaps some other free stuff out there on the net. and, it might be worth going out to some store that sells computer software, as maybe there's something *really cool* out there that's not too expensive?

take care & happy knitting :)

Those squares are great looking. I know I knit one in color 95 - I hope I have one in that second color you show! Very pretty.

I think you are a sock knitting machine! Both pairs look like they will be great.

Lovely squares, I'm just dying to see them all together!

Love that new trekking colorway you've got going on.

I dying to see your Lizard Ridge all put together. Those colors are looking great.

Coincidentially, I've had Trekking 109 in the stash for a few months and pulled it out yesterday to start some mindless socks. Can't decide on the needle size & # of stitches, however. I've got the 2mm/US #0's ready and thinking about 80 sts. What are you using?

i'm getting 9 sts/inch with size 1 dpns, and my sock has 72 stitches.
... and i have about 4" of leg knitted! yeah!

Your squares are looking good. I like the colors! Hope you have better luck with your toes. The knitting gods are fickle.

Maybe you should knit both of the socks in your pairs to the toes, then do both at the same time, in their own sitting. Or you could just keep going with that lovely trekking - either is a good option :)
